What is this position about and why would you want it?!

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled data engineer to be part of a small team to build up a cloud based data warehouse from the beginning. You will be expected to work with and understand many different source systems, workflow, ELT pipeline, business use cases and business logic.

You will be one of the first people to join the chief data & analytics officer’s team at Loopia Group (who is stationed in Stockholm). Since Loopia Group consists of several companies that has been merged into one group, this means that we have several platforms and brands.

Here comes the challenge: creating a shared data platform for all of them will be impactful, fun & interesting! The data warehouse, the integrations and business intelligence we would create will act as an important source of truth throughout the group. You will need to be self-driven, problem solving, have a good architectural mindset and be able to go around and talk to colleagues in order to find definitions of all the data there is.

This is an opportunity for you to:

  • Build a cloud based DWH from scratch; ETL/Orchestration, sources, definitions, tables, stakeholders - all of it
  • Work with ambitious colleagues who likes to move fast
  • Be part of a multinational company with a lot of ambitions

Experience & training we believe that you have:

  • You have at least a BSc within computer science, engineering or a related degree - but just as likely a PhD within similar disciplines
  • Given the role you will play, you have worked on cloud data warehouses before, and preferably also been taken many of your own important architectural design choices along the way.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience working as a data professional, with at least 1 of those in a data engineering role and with cloud based solutions: Orchestration, joins, data types, computational efforts, (de)normalized data, APIs, nested tables - are concepts that you are adept in

  • DBT or potentially Airflow: You will need to help design and maintain the orchestration

  • Java and php is a plus since that exists in our ecosystem as well
  • GIT obviously

  • Space for yourself: Multisport card to cover your sports activities, 6 extra holiday days, flexible working time with a possibility of home office
  • Our coolture: hackathons, grill parties, breakfast, Xmas party and ther teambuilding activities with your team, cool office with refreshments, a terrace, regular massages and a work out system
